1. Low Calorie & Easy Eton Mess – Low-Calorie Dessert Idea – 165Kal

REMEMBER, nothing is “off plan” on the WeightMatters Programme. Instead, we have to use our calories wisely. This “Eton Mess” recipe is just 165Kcal. So if you’re stuck to your calorie allowance all day and left some over, this is a perfect treat to end the day with.

All you need:
Meringue nests, fresh fruit, flaked almonds and protein yoghurt. You can also opt for a low-fat or 0% fat yoghurt to reduce the calories even more.

My standard recipe is just 🍓165Kcal🍓 per serving:
🍓4 individual meringue nests
🍓500g fresh strawberries or any berries you like – FREE on WM Programme
🍓450g fat-free vanilla/Greek yoghurt

Why not give this one a go? It’s so quick – throw it together in 5 minutes.

2. Low-Calorie Apple Dessert – the perfect evening treat – 135Kcal

Do you like a treat on a Friday? Or do you like to have something sweet after dinner? It’s good to remember, you CAN do this on-plan and while sticking to your daily calorie allowance. My members inspire me every day with their creative meals and treats!

Look at my member Pamela’s extra low-cal dessert:

🍎grated apple slightly sauteed in a teaspoon of low-fat butter
🍎half tub of salt caramel protein yoghurt from Lidl Ireland
🍎topped with 10g of milled seeds

*Just 135Kcal in total*

This is even lower than the 150Kcal treat I normally recommend. Why not give this one a try?

3. Sweet and Fruity Snack – 144Kcal

It is good to note that these recipes can be made dairy-free by using dairy-free yoghurt. That’s what my member Laura did in this case. She used:

🍒dairy-free yoghurt

for just 144Kcal!

I generally recommend my members to aim for snacks below 150Kcal so this is ⭐️perfect⭐️

4. Low Calorie Crisps – Low-calorie options

It’s probably been a busy stressful week and you might want to reach for the snack drawer! Some of us love our savoury snacks like crisps in the evenings. Well, be sure to check the labels and choose your treat wisely. I’ve gone through some popular crisp options.  Knowing the calorie content in our foods gives us back control. We decide what we consume and how many calories we’re going to allocate from our daily allowance. Which would you choose? ⭐️In this case, Snax are by far the best choice if you want your calories to go further! ⭐️

Supermarkets now stock healthier savoury options such as lentil crisps and chips and these tend to be much lower in calories. Aldi does a great sea salt lentil crisp option.

5. Low-Calorie Ice Cream Options – a great evening treat

Did someone say ice cream? If you’re an ice cream lover, I’ve got good news – on the WeightMatters plan, NOTHING is off limits. It’s all about fitting what you want into your daily calorie allowance and making smart choices.

Sure, you can choose the Chocolate Fudge Brownie if you want, but it may take a large chunk out of your daily calories. Luckily, there are great new low cal options out there that are still bursting with flavour. And believe me, they still hit the spot and stop those cravings in their tracks.
