Throughout the day you need your main meals (and perhaps some snacks in between) in order to keep your blood sugar stable and your energy levels up.

I do not recommend skipping dinner if you are trying to lose weight or belly fat. There are many reasons for this but one being, if you skip a big meal such as dinner, this will result in cravings, low mood and energy later in the day. This consequently results in overeating on high-calorie foods.
